Step one - Plan Your Website

Many new web designers are so in a rush to get their website started that they have an inclination to make rash decisions and lack a correct website plan. Write down what you want your website to be about, even if you are just blue-skying ideas. Will your website be a blog, or a web portal? Will it be under one explicit niche or will it cover a dilate impressive broad range of categories? What's your budget for this site, and will your website be supported by adverts or is it an ecommerce ( shopping cart ) site? Consider the website you want to have, and before paying for anything, confirm you have covered as many questions you can think of. Compare, contrast and criticize.

Step 2 - choosing Your Domain Name
Www.domain.com. If your internet site is a private blog, then you can be as creative as you would like, and you do not truly have to care much about what folk think about it! But if your site is going to be business-related or something more professional then choosing the proper domain is critical.

Choosing common words for your web site name will give you an absolute benefit over your competitors because people trying to find hair products might at once type in'hair products' on their address bar and which will direct them to your webpage.

For example, if you need to sell hair products on your website, ceasing www.hairproducts.com or anything firmly related to those keywords could be a good concept. In addition, choosing a'.com' would be better than choosing any other top-level domain ( TLD ) like .net or .info, mainly because the .com is the most well-known extension. Selecting your own nation's TLD would be a great idea too, especially if your country has a well-promoted TLD e.g.

Step three - choosing the Perfect Web Host
Why? Because web hosts are corporations that really rent out storage space and here's where your web files will be kept! So it is important to select an internet host that is credible, and have very good customer testimonials.

Visit webmaster communities and ask well known webmasters for their recommended web hosts. Visit these web hosts and analyse the services they claim to provide. When you finally find one you want to try out, subscribe to a once a month plan, rather than a once a year plan. This can save you money in case you aren't pleased with their services.

Step 4 - Design & Development

There are such a lot of methods to design and develop your website. You can decide to design and code it all from scratch. This could take a lot of time but if you are familiar with languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, Asp.net, Ajax, and so on, then scripting your own unique website could be a good choice for you.

Step 5 - Site Content

Any quality website should have unique, quality website content. Though, if you do not have site content, sites e.g. Article directories offer content that you are going to be in a position to publish on your internet site. Remember though, that these content are also available to other publishers so you won't have new text on your website which may affect your site's performance in the search engines.
